Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is an amazing palace built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 1570's. It was abandoned only fifteen years after its completion due to inadequate water supply. This combination of factors makes it both one of the most architecturally consistant and best preserved of the Mughal Palaces.
