The last few days have been spent working on the band beam that will support the roof. The work has been slowed a little by the very
unusual amount of rain - January is usually a very dry month. Curing of the porch roof decking has progressed enough that we were
able to remove about 2/3 of the bamboo supports.
The rain has produced a couple of nice rainbows, but has been a major obstruction to getting the road work done. One of our older workers
who has lived in the area all his life says he has never seen such rain in January. We did get one day of grading done and a new culvert in,
but now we're at a standstill waiting for the sun. The second culvert turned out to be unnecessary, as we found an existing culvert
that just needed to be cleaned up!
