We’ve been having a great time since the last post on 12/17. JC has been sewing up a storm, upholstering cushions for the furniture, creating curtains for the rest of the windows, and of course quilting.  Tom has kept busy starting the mosaic work on the house (a trial panel by the shop door), putting up porch railings, and generally puttering about. We had a record number of people living on the property in late December - all three houses were occupied, with a total of seven people in residence. Tom turned 60 on New Years Eve, and celebrated by becoming a volunteer member of the fireworks crew for the big Negril show at Alfred’s.

Sunset through the front door grate.
Many of the sunsets are of the spectacular variety!
JC does a lot of quilting in her sewing corner.
On Dec 20 Tom finally stopped procrastinating on the mosaic work.
It started out modestly.
And grew...
Every cloud has a sliver lining.
JC shows off her gift of sorrel.
JC created upholstered cushions for the wicker furniture.
A found jawbone found its way into the mosaic.
Tom the pyro crew draftee on his 60th birthday.
The sun came out in the mosaic.
And finally on Jan 8 the wall was complete - except for the grout.
We’ve received quite a few nice plants as gifts from our Jamaican friends.
Our partner Dick Elliott is about to break ground on his house.
And when not messing about with tile, Tom put railings on the porch.
